Delayed Opening 1/16/24
Due to the threat of inclement weather, Judge Robertson has directed a delayed opening for the County Courthouse, Annex, and Tag Offices until 10:00am on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Per the presiding Circuit Court Judge, state courts and jury service will also be delayed until 10:00am on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
County Courthouse Closed Monday, January 15th
In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

County Tag Offices Closed Friday, December 8th for Software Update
Due to the implementation of a new system by the Alabama Department of Revenue, all County Tag Offices will be closed on Friday, December 8, 2023 to upgrade motor vehicle software statewide. This does not include state driver license offices. During this closure, our license office staff will be training to better serve our citizens when offices reopen on Monday, December 11, 2023.
